It's been a while since I posted, and I didn't have anything clever to say today. So....
Here's a couple pics from when we went to the coast with the Posenjaks. Brad and I were attempting to long-jump. Current world record for men's long jump is 29.36 feet. I think we made it about 12.

I think I was using a modified sail method... it's called the FLAIL method!
And, although it looks like it... I really wasn't wearing tapered-leg jeans.

Great research with the images of different long-jump styles - but I think yours is more of a falling-backwards-hope-I-just-land-on-my-feet style. (21'10" in HS, but back then we called it the BROAD jump.... probably creates a different kind of image these days ;=)
Wow! I'm almost speechless. Lets just hope that the Olympic trials for China 2008 haven't past.
